Extra Mile Chauffeur Travel celebrated their 5th year in business on 4th September 2009.

The business has grown significantly and steadily over the past 60 months and now has a fleet of 4 executive BMW, Mercedes and Chrysler vehicles plus a new luxury 16 seater Mini Coach.  The mini coach for group travel was introduced to the business in August 2009 as a direct result of customer feedback and demand.  The coach will also provide mobile office facilities for training, meetings and administration tasks.  It is equipped with a DVD system, PA address, Tables and Wi Fi connection, 16 seats and additional luggage room.

Extra Mile provide employment for 8 drivers and admin staff and prides themselves on buying as many products locally wherever possible through its membership to the Buy Local Buy Dorset campaign www.buydorset.co.uk

Following the companies success as finalists in the South & West Dorset Open 4 Business Awards in both 2006 and 2008, Extra Mile are now  proud members of the Jurassic Coast Quality Business Scheme and are one of the first businesses to sign up to the legacy initiatives of Team Dorset.   The Olympic opportunity has already started to emerge for Extra Mile and during August they have provided transport for International Windsurfing teams and equipment between London airports and the Sailing Academy on Portland.  Mick Coles, Director said “ We are very pleased to be able to provide a luxury service for our international visitors, so far we have supplied transport for visiting teams from Hong Kong, China and Italy. First impressions count, and we want to bring our visitors to Weymouth & Portland in style”.

In October 2008 Extra Mile Wedding Cars provided executive BMW cars at the wedding of Nick Dempsey and Sarah Ayton, our local Olympic champions at their wedding just outside of Weymouth and continues to provide contemporary cars for stylish weddings.

Extra Mile will be celebrating their 5th Birthday by offering customers discounted travel in September and celebrating with their dedicated staff.
