THE PORTLAND SPA HOTEL EXPANDS FRONT OF HOUSE TEAM
The Portland Spa Hotel and Conference Centre has promoted receptionist Bobby Jones to the position of Front of House Supervisor. Bobby joined The Portland Spa Hotel in November 2008 as part of the reception team and will now manage a team of 6 receptionists crucial to the smooth operation of the hotel and leisure departments.
Bobby says "With such a diverse range of services it is essential that customers are given all the information they need when they contact us and that responsibility lies with the front of house team. I'm extremely excited to be helping lead the growth and development of The Portland Spa Hotel in this area."
Bobby's previous experience includes sales negotiation and he plans to incorporate his negotiation skills into the overall approach of the reception team. By expanding the information gathered about a customer the team will be more able to ensure they are guided to the right service or product for them. Bobby will report to The Spa's Accommodation Manager, Stephen Parker.
"Bobby was the ideal choice for this new position heading the development of the reception and front of house operations of The Portland Spa.
