As Dorset starts to enjoy the bloom of early summer the big message from many local health and leisure providers throughout Dorset is to embrace activity in your life and enjoy the many benefits of a healthy lifestyle.

To inspire and encourage Dorset residents of all ages and abilities to "change their lifestyles" the Dorset Physical Activity Alliance with its many partners has produced a "Be Active In Dorset" Activity Guide, a 40 page full color A5 booklet packed with advice, information, events and contacts to make it even easier to take up a new class, event, course or active challenge in 2009.

Co-Chairman of Dorset Physical Alliance, Dave Franks said,
"This year a number of partners of the Dorset Physical Activity Alliance have produced the first Be Active in Dorset Guide. This 40 page full colour booklet is following the Change for Life ethos, a fun and inclusive guide with articles and events from 15 participating partners, highlighting the work of partners, giving information on events and healthy lifestyle and physical activity advice".

The overall design and message for Be Active in Dorset Guide has been based on the highly successful National campaign "change4life". The campaign provides loads of ideas and help to give every family a happier, healthier future. Providing lots of helpful information, games, tools, tips and a free welcome pack - visit www.change4life.com for further information.

The Be Active in Dorset Guide is a handy to use A5 size, with a initial print run of 35,000 copies. This free guide will be available throughout Dorset at Tourist Information Centres, Libraries, Sports Centres and supporting clubs and organizations.
