I first met Paul Riley of Total Soft water when he had a softener shop in Harpenden. His knowledge of water softeners is extensive and I trust his judgement and proficiency implicitly. I recently purchased a second hand softener via eBay to replace an old outdated model that was installed many years ago.. My first action, before installation, was to get Total Soft Water to check it out for me. For a very reasonable cost, Paul personally stripped the unit and replaced all necessary parts, tested it thoroughly and set it up for the local water hardness. His expertise saved me a considerable sum over purchasing a new softener, but not once did he try to pressure me into buying a new item. This is what I call ‘Service’ and I know I can rely on him to provide expert advice and recommendations if I ever need a new softener in the future. I thoroughly recommend this and other Total Soft Water shops in the area, which Paul is responsible for.

Simply put; Louise and Patrick at The Osteopathic Centre are brilliant. By way of background, being an avid ‘weekend warrior’ on the swim bike and run front, I clock a fair few miles in prep for Triathlon season each year. When I began to suffer severe discomfort and pain my knees the Doctors response was; "what would you like me to do about it?" Walking away with a prescription for painkillers I felt somewhat dismayed. Following this trend after numerous visits with a Physio they were unable to diagnose or treat the trouble I was encountering, all the while using my ailment to ‘sell’ me products which became apparent were unnecessary. I turned to The Osteopathic Centre after recommendations from other triathletes. Not only were they able to diagnose my condition (evident by successful treatment) in my fist visitation, they went above and beyond in ensuring I fully understood the underlying factors that caused my injury and the pain that ensued. They helped me navigate various avenues available to me in terms of treatment, successfully mitigating the need for surgery which was a real possibility and far from ideal! With their help, care and guidance I've mangled to over come my injury, avoid surgery and have gone on to smash my P.B's. As I said... Brilliant.

Lou North treated me during pregnancy very successfully and my baby for colic. She is wonderful with children and puts you at ease straight away. Patrick Pearce has treated my husband for a running injury. With his advice and treatment the injury hasn't returned. A wonderful practice! Thank you.

I have been to a few osteopaths over the years and this one is by far the best. They offer flexible appointments which is very helpful as I work full time and Lou North who I met put me at ease immediately and is incredibly professional and knowledgeable. She helped my lower back within the first couple of treatments and gave me some great advice. The Centre is also in a convenient location with plenty of parking and step free access (which with a bad back was great!) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the practice.
