Art and Design Gallery, University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield
Thursday 3rd January, 9:00am - Until Friday 8th February, 5:00pm
This exhibition takes a deeper look at the way colour behaves in relation to our different experiences of it.
“Colour is a physical phenomenon, not just a visual one”. – James Turrell
Colour has a profound effect on us even though we may not be aware of it. Colour represents, more than any other attribute of our visual experience, a place where both physical properties, personal experiences and mental processes are interwoven in an intimate and enigmatic way. This group exhibition showcases moving image and installation work by artists such as Jacob Dahlgren and Rhys Coren – providing an artistic investigation into and discourse around the kaleidoscopic experience of colour.
