Hi this is my first Blog for thebestof Rushden and I'm pleased to be starting it off with something really positive!
We had a great day out in Higham Ferrers yesterday chatting to lots of the local people and businesses. We are starting to give out the "BUY LOCAL" stickers to all the shops - trying to encourage local people to support their local businesses and it was great to meet so many interesting people.
On our way around, we popped into "Beans" for a delicious lunch, and an irresistible piece of cake - this could definitely become a regular spot for me!
I dropped into Saa at the other end of the high street and had a really good chat to Piers - they've got some great Mother's Day gifts in the shop if you’re looking for something really special, but good value. Or, if you think your Mum could do with a little pampering the Thatched Cottage have some really great packages and treatments.
