The Window Shop has been awarded the right to label its windows, ‘Energy Efficient’ by the British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC), which is the body responsible for window energy ratings in the UK. Windows, like many of the domestic goods we buy, can now be energy rated with the A to E label that we are all familiar with, but only windows assessed by the BFRC have the right to display the label. The Window Shop had to pass a rigorous assessment process in order to achieve an energy rating for its windows and now can offer A, B & C rated windows to householders looking for a more energy efficient option.

So exactly what are Energy Efficient Windows? They are windows that help to contain and conserve heat within your home keeping out wind and rain and yet allowing natural “free” energy – the warmth of the sun – to heat your home. By switching to Energy Efficient Windows you could save energy, reduce your household bills and reduce your carbon emissions too.

Today more and more customers are keen to choose products that can help them save energy. Our windows do just that and this label is their guarantee.
