OUTDOOR
For budding explorers; The Spring Explorers Trail at Irchester Country Park. Available daily from Quarrymans Rest Cafe. £2 per pack includes a small prize. Suitable for children aged 5 to 10 years
Cycling or Walking; Stanwick Lakes has a network of over 7 miles of footpaths/cycle paths (wheelchair accessible). In addition to circular routes around the lakes there is a four mile linear route running from Irthlingborough towards Thrapston, providing safe off-road walking and cycling.
If you haven't had your bike out much over the winter it would be well worth getting it serviced, or if you need a new one, go and see Darren and Avril at Cyclelife in Wellingborough they have a fantastic range of bikes, accessories in stock, aswell as doing on site repairs.
Running; St Georges Day Celebrations - Stanwick Lakes have a fun run, 5km, 10km, and half-marathon all starting at 10:00. You can enter online at www.ultramarathon.org.uk (it could be the way to work off all that chocolate!)
