For ladies who lunch ... my mom, auntie and I decided to catch up and decided to try the Golf Club for a change.
It wasn't very busy which surprised me especially as it was Friday lunchtime. We were shown to a sofa area where our drinks orders were taken and given menus to look over whilst waiting for drinks.
Drinks were delivered quite quickly but not too quick that we hadn't had enough time to make menu choices. Decision made we sat and enjoyed our drinks in comfort.
When our food was ready we were shown to a table over looking the golf course which was nice, especially as it was a wRm sunny day.
Food portion sizes were very good and food was delicious and considering where we were the prices weren't too bad.
Staff were friendly and attentive although we did have to ask a few times for the bill.
Not sure how they would cope if the small eating area was full !

I chose this hotel as it had a great offer on Booking.com and much cheaper than some of the chains. The receptionist was very friendly and check in was quick. There are 21 cabins overlooking the golf course. Very quiet. The cabin was clean, a good size with a large bathroom. No Wi-Fi though which was disappointing. All in all a great place go stay if you can get for under £50!

Went for sunday lunch for a birthday treat.I was very scathing about calderfields last time i went for lunch but my there has been an improvement.Bar prices still high but staff and food could not be faulted.Surroundings still wonderful so would go back again without hesitation.( might hide a bottle in the wifes handbag though )

We were first booked into lodge 6 and had to complain about a 'smell' they soon moved us to a different lodge. Lodge was clean warm and comfortable.
The down side came when we had breakfast; 2 people, 1 cereal, 1 egg on toast, 1 round of toast, 2 hot drinks - cost £20! Not happy! Because we had stayed in their accommodation the set price for breakfast is £10 per head no matter how much you eat! Great if you want a big breakfast but as we didn't it felt as we were being penalised for staying in their accommodation, as based on their price list, for what we had would have cost half what we paid

We visited Calderfields on 22/12/17 for our works Christmas Party, when we arrived we were greeted by staff with drinks and canapés, which was a great start to the evening. The venue was decorated beautifully and staff were situated around on hand to help guests arriving. The meal started at the time specified and each course was delicious! After the meal everyone had time to chat before festive games took place to get everyone in the team spirit! This was a great addition to the night and proved that a lot of effort had been put into the planning of the event to make it extra special! A professional singer and DJ then performed until the end of the night and both were superb and very entertaining! Overall the night was very special and will not be forgotten! There has been nothing but good words about the night and we will definitely consider booking here again next year! Thank you to everyone at Calderfields for making our night so special!

We booked here for new years day and was very surprised at how superb the choice and quality was. The choice of starters was huge and varied the carvery was excellant and was very impressed at the many choices of vegtables on offer.ee so impressed webooked again for sunday lunch on the14th many thanks to staff and management totally professional set up 11/10

Me and my partner stayed for a weekend in one of the log cabins, really nice rooms to a high spec, the shower was amazing and all in all the cabin was clean, warm and quiet. the cabins and the club house give wonderful views of the golf course. The restaurant was amazing the food was the best i have tasted and the carvery was out of this world. All the staff are lovely, a really nice family friendly atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and I can wait to stay again when down visiting family

Visited today with family for Afternoon Tea after winning a competition on the clubs facebook page. We all really enjoyed the range of treats. The sandwiches had really nice fillings (egg mayo, cheese and cucumber, turkey and cranberry) and the cakes were a super lovely range with the final tier traditional scones, jam and cream. We had to bring a small treat away as we were so full. The staff were very attentive and lovely. I can highly recommend.

We used to visit about two years ago on a regular basis when the Sunday carvery was open 12 until 2.00 pm then they opened it until about 5 pm and we thought the food especially the veg was not quite as fresh HOWEVER me and the wife went back today for Sunday lunch and the service and food first class and good value for money

I recently organised and took part in a society day for my place work on the 30/04/2018. The day went smoothly from start to finish. Hot drinks and Hot food on arrival which was very prompt and delicious also.
The golf itself was fantastic. An enjoyable and challenging course for all levels of golfers, whether your 28 or scratch handicapper.
Course was in very good condition, regardless of the freakish inclement whether we have had over recent months.
All the staff are very friendly, welcoming and couldn't do enough for us.
I would strongly recommend this place for anyone wishing to use it for a society day, golf in general or an evening out. It is fantastic. Will definitely book again.
