Absolutely fantastic! We had our wedding here and throughout the entire process, Calderfields was supportive and so helpful. Maisy was with us every step of the way and helped us organise a fantastic day. Everything went off without a hitch and they were so accommodating with dietary needs and making our guests feel welcome. The reception room was so beautifully decorated and it was everything we wanted.

Excellent evening at Calderfields for our network event. The staff all went above and beyond to ensure everything went to plan and the meal was enjoyed by all. Food always a high standard.

Myself and my family have visited here frequently, whether it be for just a casual meal family gathering or wedding event, or even just a short relaxing break, we have found this to be an incredible place. The service by all staff in various departments is attentive and we are made to feel really welcome. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The golf course is beautiful to play a few rounds on. I think it is definitely worth the money and i would recommend to anyone.

I Popped up the m6 with some mates for 2 rounds and a stay for a Saturday night. Very nice to be able too check in and have our rooms before playing our first round. The course wasn’t prob at its best due too the heatwave … but it’s a challenging test of golf for all levels with a fantastic pro shop although the range lets it down. The lodges was very clean and tidy smelt fresh and clean with good showers and comfy beds. But most of all for the 8 of us who stayed was how good the staff was , they bent over backwards too make sure we had a great stay nothing was too much and with a bar full of tired thirsty golfers it takes some patience. The evening 3 course meal we had Saturday night was served quick and was lovely and fresh, but they was a bit stindgy on the breakfast the next morning. We would all return next year though I’m sure. Thanks for a great weekend.

A great family day out at the newly opened Dinosaur Land 18 hole crazy golf. Based on the theme of Jurassic Park.Anamatronic dinosaurs aplenty, move on timers and the sound effects are hysterical. We really enjoyed ourselves. I don't know who enjoyed it more my niece and nephew or us adults!
On my mum and dad's suggestion we then ate in the lakeside restaurant in the golf club. Good service and one of the best avocado salads I've eaten. Other meals were rated highly. Only negative from my dad's point of view was there was no draft cider only fruity bottled, but otherwise nothing but positives. Would strongly recommend and would visit again.

Quiz was as good as normal but some of the food items were poor. The curry was fine but the rice was congealed in a lump, and the cheese/potato pie was so sloppy it was more like soup!
Didn't spoil the evening luckily.

Calderfields Sunday Carvery is are 'go to' favourite for Sunday lunch, it may be a tad dearer than some places, but my old man used to say "you get what you pay for!"
Our previous visit was a little disappointing if I am totally honest, food was not up to Calderfields high standards. However I am pleased to report that things are back to normal, managers and staff have worked hard and turned things around, as they say 'Normal service has been resumed'
We are both pleased that the problems with suppliers/staffing issues have been ironed out and we will continue to visit Calderfields for the best Sunday lunch.

We held the funeral reception here for our late mum in The Caulderfields Suite, in early June.
The room was lovely and the staff were very helpful.
The quality and selection of food was excellent.
We were very pleased with everything and it made a very sad day much more bearable.
Thank you to everyone.
We would definitely recommend to others.

To celebrate the 60th wedding anniversary of my grandparents, we arranged a family meal at Calderfields on Sunday 29th April. Our booking was for 25 (18 adults, 4 children, 1 toddler and two young babies). We were seated on two large round tables which were pretty much in the main thoroughfare towards the cavery, and such was the size of the group that whenever guests at other tables wanted to get to the cavery, they had to push past our tables. Ordering food seemed lengthy and chaotic (bearing in mind that carvery was the only thing on so all the staff had to do was take orders for Starters and Desserts). The highchair we were given for our two year old had broken shoulder straps - when informed about this, the staff said they didn't have any others to give us.

But, the food: well, the starters were freshly prepared (choice of soup de jour, battered brie, prawn cocktail or chicken caesar salad). The carvery was as good as any other carvery I've been to, good choice of fresh veg, decent amounts of meat. Desserts too were good. The service from the staff was acceptable under the circumstances, but they could have done with having 3 or 4 more staff on as, surprise surprise, lunchtime is busy.

Considering that this booking was for a 60th anniversary, I'm not sure it was the correct venue for us to pick. If the weather had been nicer we maybe could have made more use of the outside areas, but the conditions outside on the day affected things inside. It was an OK experience, but nothing special that we couldn't have gotten from a chain restaurant or a local independant gastropub.
