An excellent insight into Walsall's historic major industry. It's self-led, but there are audio-visual resources to give a flavour of the trades within the industry. Go there very soon as the Museum has been reprieved from closure on the current site. And it's FREE.

Came for the easter activity with my 3.5 year old, lovely friendly staff. Made an easter basket which my daughter throughly enjoyed. There was then an egg hunt through the museum and on that journey you could make your own personalised leather keyring....again she loved this!<br><br>Its ashame the council are trying to close the museum!<br><br>I will be here again on monday for more half term fun

A very enjoyable visit for us and our family. Free entry which is amazing. The children loved the Easter bunny and egg hunt. This is a marvellous place full of the history of leather making and saddlery run by enthusiastic volunteers. There was an opportunity to make keyrings too. Sadly the museum is under threat of closure by the council we must use or lose this place of local historical interest.

Lovely place to spend a couple of hours. There's a tea room with food available. Lots of informative videos. Things to interact with. We got a chance to make our own key ring for a small charge of 60p. Completely free to enter and the price of the gifts in the shop are reasonable for the kids too. Lots of leather goods to purchase. Staff are friendly and informative!
