Interesting museum. Free entry and reasonably priced drinks and cakes inside. Also, you get chance to make your own keyrings for 60p each - bargain. Really interesting talk and history of the leather museum by Awais :) car park across from museum reasonably priced too.

Initially thought it was a small exhibition, a volunteer gave us information in the first section . Very interesting and knowledgeable tour , he then allowed us at our own pace to carry on ..
We followed through to the next room then upstairs which had varies rooms telling and showing the leather craft and industry in the area .
Another guide joined us and showed techniques of the hand crafts and tools used working the learher into various items . Again he was knowledgeable and informative .
Before leaving we had a drink and a sweet treat in the little cafe , which were of a good quality and cheap by museum prices .
We learnt that the local council were closing down the museum in April with no clear decision where and if would it would reopen .
The University was to take over the building for other uses !
Another museum bites the dust in the area !!
