I would highly recommend Calderfields to celebrate your special occasions. Today we celebrated a friends baby shower and the event organisers were very welcoming. Dave, Adam, Becca and Acacia thankyou so much! From start to finish you couldn't have done anymore for us. The food was delicious and great value for money and the room was beautifully decorated.
All in all, a brilliant venue, most wonderful and friendly staff and Emma was delighted.

Went here with family for afternoon tea. Beautiful location, staff very friendly and efficient. Tea was very good with an abundance of tea or coffee, of varying varieties. Lots of cakes and good variety of finger sandwiches.

Family Carvery trip to Calderfields. It was the first time we had visited so we had high expectations.
The service throughout the meal was very good. We were seated very quickly and drinks orders taken.
Starter wasn’t bad however there weren’t many prawns hiding under the huge portion of sauce on the prawn cocktail.
The Carvery wasn’t bad. Great choice of vegetables and meat. However I felt the Carvery was let down a little by what looked like almost burnt roast potatoes and a one size fits all gravy. The gravy in my opinion was too strong for port and would have been way to strongly flavoured for turkey.
Despite the negatives I would certainly give the Calderfields another go as the atmosphere and service were very good and maybe the potatoes were a one off.

I go quite regularly for the sunday lunch but over the last few weeks the service has really dropped off. If we didn't enjoy the food as much we would find somewhere else to go. There doesn't seem to be any real coordination of servers which tables they are waiting on. We arrived when it was quite quiet and lots of staff standing around talking. Get seated and went up for the carvery, 15 minutes to get 2 drinks by which time we had nearly finished our mains. Bill came and we were charged for 4 deserts instead of 2.How is that possible? Cracking food but god the service is poor.
Would give 5 stars for the food but the service really let's the place down and unfortunately this is becoming a regular occurrence.

Went for the new eat out to help out carvery. The tables were well distanced from each other (been for Sunday carvery pre lockdown and tables way way to close together). Drinks brought to table, prawn cocktail was superb, plenty of meat, veg however potatoes need to be crispier and gravy more seasoned. Pud was lovely too as were all the staff.
Fingers crossed we will be back soon for curry and quiz. However in regard to carvey and quiz if we ever get back to norm please can you limit numbers and not cram everybody in.

Came here for a golf break, the woman who greeted us was very professional and very welcoming, we were not booked in but it never seemed a problem and we still teed of on time.
The course is a very long testing course with tree lined fairways and a couple of lakes that you need to get over,
The one complaint is that some of the bunkers are like concrete and you struggle getting the club under the ball, sort these out and it would be a fantastic course..
The evening meal and the breakfast were very good and a massive thanks to Akasha for her service.
Stayed in the outside cabins which are nice but very basic, no iron, no hairdryer, But does have coffee and tea and a great shower.

A park thats well worth a visit it has everything for the young and old.Walsall Council have spent a lot of money on this park.It truly is well worth a visit. The lake and its surroundings the boathouse all look splendid I cannot wait for the summer to come to see all these magnificant plants and trees in there full glory It is a splendid venue to wander around and inhale all of it's beauty. Well done Walsall Councill.

Fishing pool is a good venue but it's so hard to get into the pegs after ringing the wardens to open the gate they couldn't because there keys didn't work in them also so gates have locks on that even the wardens don't have keys too.Come on Walsall council stop being tight with the funds and buy a set of locks for all the gates so we can get some fishing done.

Attended the Saturday morning 9am Parkrun here. Great venue, with loads of free parking. 5-10 minute walk to the start of the run and a very well attended course. Well managed, friendly marshalls and great views around the park. Its a 2 lapper, on good paths and plenty of room for everyone. Toilets also at the start and finish and a cafe just around the corner. Highly recommend a visit.
