I went here for a birthday meal and was delighted with the welcome we received from the staff. The food was very well presented and tasted very fresh, every dish was so tasty. Lovely atmostphere as well as I thought it might be a bit too quiet as it was a Wednesday evening, but several parties were also having birthday celebrations. I will be visiting again very soon.

A very nice restaurant with great food. Me and husband have visited here a few times and its been great every time. After a long day at work its lovely place to just relax and have nice meal. Its a shame its just a little out the way for us, but still worth the journey when ever we can make it.

Food here is always fantastic. We turned up tonight and ordered our meal, Saj the manager told us on our last visit we left two twenty pound notes and over paid by more than a tenner. We hadn't noticed !!! He knocked it off tonight's bill. Fabulous staff, fantastic food, great value for money. They really didn't to tell us what we had done, but they did - truly outstanding !!!

After reading a reasonably favourable review in Friday night’s E&S and with nowhere else on the radar we thought we would give the S L a try.
First impressions are that the outside appearance really doesn’t do it any favours and I can't say it entices you in, I am sure it would benefit overall from a tidy up.Inside it’s a completely different story, a clean, smart and well decorated dining room. It’s deceptively large with an upstairs for when they are busy or for those looking for a party room.
A good layout to a restaurant is a bonus to me, here there’s plenty of room between the well presented tables which is something I prefer and allows you to make your own atmosphere without bothering too many people around you. It also means you can sit out of the way should you wish to chose to relax after a hard week. The initial service was a fraction slow considering it was quiet and there was a bit of a wait for our starters. However this was acknowledged by our waiter and was attributed to cooking the wife’s salmon from “fresh”. She thoroughly enjoyed it and confirmed the wait was well worth it. My girls’ chicken chat was excellent and so was my sheek kebab although I do prefer it served on a sizzler.
The mains were ready for when we wanted them and again all plus the accompanying sundries were very much liked, with a special mention for the garlic & cheese nan. There were a couple of minor niggles; my wife thought her chicken was a bit dry although the rest of us had chicken tikka which was great; and I would have liked my chilli garlic bhuna a bit spicier and more flavoursome like our other dishes but it was still good. What particularly impressed us was that when the cleared the table the waiter noticed my wife had left some of her chicken and they couldn’t have been more apologetic. She doesn’t usually finish all her meal but without any hesitation in “compensation” they insisted on adding some fresh chicken tikka to the remainder of her meal to provide her with a take-away. To me it shows they care about the customer and go the extra yard to please - Excellent.
We were too full for desserts but we can’t say that we are fans of those all too common bought in prepared offerings anyway, they’re very expensive for what they are. I rexckon a scoop of decent ice cream for a pound or so would yield better dividends.
Overall a very enjoyable and evening in a good atmosphere which I’m sure will be even better next time. Extremely polite and friendly service throughout finished off with a very reasonable bill.
It’s unlicensed so remember to take your own alcohol, IMO taking your own soft drinks is just cheap especially at their prices. I’ll be back.

We hired the upstairs room for my boyfriend's parents' 30th anniversary on a Saturday night. The atmosphere was fantastic and we probably made a fair bit of noise (apologies to downstairs diners!) The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. The food took a reasonable amount of time and was really nice. Great place for a get together, and really enjoyed ourselves.

Went here for a small family birthday meal. The food and service is excellent. We have been a few times with gaily and friends and every time the food is spot on and the staff always make you feel welcome and offer service with a smile. I would recommend this restaurant for any family or friends and also they have a function room. Best restaurant I have been to in a while

After a long tiring day of shopping in Wolverhampton... I stopped off at the Spice Lounge with my family for nourishment. What was meant to be a half hour stop became near enough 2 hours. We were amazed at the comfort, the decor and the service. We had always driven past thinking we'll try this place one day. I wish had tried this sooner. The staff were most welcoming, very helpful with making our choices. Food was fabulous, I had a Jalpati, my wife had Shahi Murgh, with fish pakora and salmon tikka starters. The fish was amazingly fluffy and cooked consistently throughout. The chicken was succulent and juicy and the Jalpati with a unique tantalizing taste.... I'm coming back again and I'm sure again and again.... 5***** all around.... Wow

I have been here a few times before with friends and thought it wouldnt be fair to not recommended it this time... It has always been good. I recently visited with my family and as usual excellent friendly service, top class food, fantastic value for money. This particular time we tried a couple of fish dishes, Salmon Tikka was just amazing and if you do like fish the Panguish Bhoona is a must try.... superb in taste and texture... Every time I have been there, it has always been excellent quality food... All the waiters are very helpful.. I must mention Saj, he really does make the place welcoming with his smile, his humour and his expert advice. He's a great asset to the Restaurant.
You will find this place comfortable and very accommodating for a night out with friends or family or even a works do.... I've done the lot... Top Class Establishment.... Do try for your own pleasure.
