Calderfields Sunday Carvery is are 'go to' favourite for Sunday lunch, it may be a tad dearer than some places, but my old man used to say "you get what you pay for!"
Our previous visit was a little disappointing if I am totally honest, food was not up to Calderfields high standards. However I am pleased to report that things are back to normal, managers and staff have worked hard and turned things around, as they say 'Normal service has been resumed'
We are both pleased that the problems with suppliers/staffing issues have been ironed out and we will continue to visit Calderfields for the best Sunday lunch.

I was very pleased with my experience at calderfields , its very family friendly, the staff are efficiente and organised in taking orders and called a table at a time to the carvery to avoid queing , for a table of 29 of us which 7 were children i apreciate it took a while for the starters to come out due too the amount of guest in my party and that we could see it was freshly made,the staff was very friendly with us, and starters and mains and deserts were very good ,everything was hot , the main meals wich was the carvery had a very good variety of meats and vegetables and they have a vegetarian option also ,they acomodated for my little son who doesnt like carvery and gave him a variety of choices wich was pizza and beans or chicken nuggets and chips or sausage and egg which pleased me a lot i was just a bit dissapointed with children running around next to the carvery but soon the person in charge had a word with them and they stoped which i dont blame the golf club but the parents ,the views are beautiful and all my guests comented how lovely the suroundings are and that the venue is the perfect place for a gathering or party ,will be definetly comming back

We had a lovely time here. We had a drink in the bar after I popped in the gym and my wife had a beauty treatment in the salon. Overall very pleasant. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Its so quiet at night we couldn’t hear anything. Will be returning in the summer.

The course was in great condition, the greens although tricky to read ran very true, the accomadation was very well turned out and clean, the staff were excellent and the beer was superb and a happy hour that lasts three hours what more does a golfer need

First visit since 2019. Notes on table saying that price had increased, but not saying how much. Food was OK. Rather mean portion of turkey, gravy a bit sweet, veg a bit mushy. Condiments in short supply. Drinks service very slow. Clearly understaffed. Just felt a bit budget.

Lovely food and lots of it. Sunday cavery very reasonably priced at £9.95 with as much veg etc you can fit on your plate. Starters and puddings are extra but a good selection. Drinks can be ordered from the bar and the waiters bring them to the table.

We stayed at calderfields for my best friend's wedding at which I was a bridesmaid. It was convenient to stay where she was having the reception and averagely priced.
The nine cabins are very near to the main building with beautiful views overlooking the golf course. Very comfy big beds, huge shower, flat screen tv and an adjustable thermostat to be found in the room. Loads of storage too.
Breakfast the next day was freshly cooked and included in the price of the room. Was really good and much preferable to a buffet style.
I would recommend staying there.

7 ladies took a little golf break to Calderfields this weekend and we were absolutely over the moon with our visit. From the moment we arrived we were greated by the most polite and helpful people who just wanted us to have a great time.
The course was wet, but I have to commend the green keeper as the greens were in excellent condition under the circumstances and I can only imagine it is a beautiful place in the summer.
The cabins overlooking the 18th hole are awesome. Modern, clean and very cosy. it was quiet and comfortable, perfect after a game.
The members of the club were friendly and chatted to us making us very welcome. The bar prices are reasonable and the bar staff were absolutely wonderful.
All in all this was a great break and we will definitely be returning. Excellent value for money with excellent customer service.

To celebrate a friends 40th birthday, we were one of many tables at the Tribute evening which was inclusive of a three course evening meal, all courses were excellent and served by very polite and experienced staff. My husband and I stayed overnight on one of the log cabins, that were of very comfortable with a very high specification situated overlooking the golf course. The following morning we ordered breakfast in the restaurant which was freshly cooked for us and very reasonably priced at £7.00 for two of us.

The food here from the carvery is really lovely, great standard and great service behind the stations.
I feel that on the Sunday we visitors, there could have been a better selection of vegetables.
The desserts menu is a little basic, but those who had desserts did enjoy them.
It was an enjoyable family meal, but I would not necessarily recommend as I have been to better places.
