Went for the Sunday carvery which was pretty average, some veggies under cooked and some soggy. Service was poor as waitress asked what we wanted to drink and then didn't know what beers they sold. No offer of getting starters, just go get carvery when ready. Shame really as I had high hopes.

Went to a wedding at calderfiels had a great time stopped over night rooms great and all the staff were very helpful thanks to Dan and Linda grateful food wood tell people use calderfieds if you are looking for a place to have your wedding

Came for a three day two night golf break. Staff are friendly and do their best. Rooms are basic and the bed uncomfortable. Food was frankly poor. Golf course ok, quite long but greens in poor condition.

Had a one night business stay in one of the lodges. Overall facilities very good and couldn’t ask for more, quiet location, clean room (basic), lovely meal, all the staff very attentive. But special mention goes to Rhys in the golf shop who went above and beyond. I am only a ‘learner’ and made an impromptu visit to the golf shop. Rhys has a natural ability to make you feel comfortable while talking through the game in a clear structured way. Rhys even went so far as to look at my swing offering (several) tips/guidance to improve, I left with some great homework to practice and this made my stay. I was hugely impressed and If I lived locally I would definitely book all my lessons through Rhys.

I've played here a few times and pleased to see how it's matured. Very nice landscaping with some challenging tree lines shots.
The only negative was some of the tee boxes.

Just returned from our annual golfing trip and it was a delight once again. A big shout out to all the wonderful staff but especially Neal (top bloke). We had 2 slight issues and he couldn't do enough for us to resolve the situation, a real credit to Calderfields and hopefully he will be there when we return next year. Would definitely recommend, rooms good but basic but meets the needs and location slightly isolated however the bar has all you need. Value for money and food was better this year, especially the carvery. Thanks all.

We had our evening wedding reception here recently. The whole evening was perfect. Rachel and her team did a great job and everything went to plan. The food was incredible and we’ve had LOTS of comments about it since. It made the perfect evening for the perfect day. Thank you so much.

Hi, I don't normally write a review for golf courses, but only fair that I do this time. Reece and Ryan in the golf shop are so very helpful and friendly, they both provide a great service.
The course is in immaculate condition, they have changed the layout, which makes it even more interesting to play.
As for the golf buggies, they are simply the best, letting you know the distance left to the hole, not seen any other buggies round here that do that.
