We went to Mims Moms today for afternoon tea after scattering my mums ashes and to celebrate my auntie’s birthday. For years Carol and the team had delivered beautiful afternoon teas to my parent’s house which they used to share with the neighbours. This was the first time I had visited the cafe itself. Unbeknownst to me they had opened up especially for us. Their care and love made me cry on what would have been a difficult day. I highly recommend to everyone. Food delicious too. 🥰 😋

I genuinely don’t think I could recommend Ben and his team enough.
They first collected all of our belongings back in December 25', at a time when we had absolutely no idea that it would be another 10 months before we finally had everything delivered to our new home.
During that time, our plans changed more times than I can count. Delivery dates changed, locations changed, and everything seemed to keep moving around, but Ben was amazing throughout. Nothing ever felt like a problem and he was always so understanding and accommodating, which took away so much stress during what was already a pretty chaotic time for us.
Even right from the beginning, the service was brilliant. Ben estimated the move purely from photos and somehow got it absolutely spot on. They supplied all of the boxes and packing materials we needed, and when Daz and Jamie came to collect everything, they went so far beyond what we expected.
They helped us take things down that we hadn’t even managed to get to, including light fittings, and they noticed things we hadn’t thought about ourselves. They carefully wrapped our sofas and mattresses before putting them into storage and treated all of our belongings as though they were their own.
Fast forward 10 months and today we finally got to see all of our things arrive at our new home. Finally!!!
Jamie and Lewis were absolutely brilliant. Our new house is an old cottage, so there are small doorways, tight entrances and awkward spaces everywhere, but they somehow managed to navigate it all. Everything was taken carefully into the correct rooms and placed neatly, rather than just being dropped wherever it would fit.
And after being moved, stored for 10 months and then moved again, not a single thing was damaged. That in itself says everything about how much care they take. They even stayed and helped us move a wardrobe around afterwards, which they absolutely didn’t have to do.
After such a long journey to finally get into our new home, having our belongings arrive safely today was such a massive sigh of relief, and I’m honestly so grateful that we trusted Ben and his team with everything.
Ben, Daz, Jamie and Lewis, thank you so much. You made what could have been one of the most stressful parts of our move feel completely manageable.
Friendly, patient, professional, careful and genuinely willing to go above and beyond.
We honestly couldn’t have asked for better people to look after our home and our belongings for the last 10 months. ❤️

I knew the food was going to be good because when I got there, the queue was out the door! Always a good sign. First time here and definitely not the last. The crusty cobs were amazing! And as a sweet treat, we chose the cherry crumble cake. The portion sizes are huge and could easily be shared - but it was so delicious I ate every last bit to myself!
