HOME brings together a selection of works from the Gallery’s Permanent Collection to explore themes around home and homeland. The art works, which span the last 60 years, touch upon a wide range of topics including; cultural identity and heritage, material possessions and personal collections, play, imagination and fairytales.
Activity Sheets accompany the exhibition together with a drawing area, display wall and a pop-up library as part of the show.
Featured artists include Richard Forster, Mahtab Hussain, Shanti Panchai and Andrew Tift.
HOME will be closed briefly between the 8th and the 19th of July for the mud house Mitti Ka Ghar to be removed. The second phase of the exhibition will include Melanie Carvalho’s Rhodroponicum and objects from Andrew Tift’s Memorial Painting.
