Friday 25th May, 10:00am - Until Sunday 2nd September, 5:00pm
The New Art Gallery Walsall is delighted to present a major solo exhibition by Walsall artist Andrew Tift. The exhibition will bring together brand new works combined with selected works from the artist’s past practice and will comprise paintings, drawings, sketchbooks and for the first time, a series of photographs.
Focusing aound the genre of portraiture, it is a consciously eclectic show bringing together works ranging from more formal commissioned portaits and personal projects with specifically chosen sitters to more experimental work, in which the artist has challenged himself, pushing the boundaries of portraiture and reflecting on enduring themes such as the cycle of life, the passing of time and the persidtence of memory.
This exhibition celebrates the artist's work to date and demonstrates the breadth and quality of his practice.
