Easy to get to. easy access to the city. Take your swimsiut with you. the hotel has great fitness and swim area (sauna, jacuzzi & steam room) the bar and restaurant are great. The breakfast is a great eat all you want buffet style at a reasonable price. The rooms are the best for the price you pay. the staff are always professional.

The hotel is just off junction 10 of the m6 great car park good check in ok size room but with only a few rooms booked we would have thought hotel would give you a room with a nicer view rather than the back of the hotel beds good shower shocking it kept changing heat levels by its self not good didn’t complain as it was Christmas eve

I stayed at the Village Hotel twice within a 10 day period. Overall, I had a very good experience. Booking, checking in and checking out was straightforward. The room was well appointed and clean. My floor lamp wasn't working and because of Covid restrictions, I couldn't have maintenance in to fix it so was offered another room straight away. This is by no means a plush hotel but it offered good value. The star of the show (and the reason for my 5 star rating) was a member of staff called Liam. He offered a warm and friendly welcome on arrival, was very helpful in recommending a local food service. Nothing was too much trouble and I was so happy that he was on duty when I arrived for my 2nd stay! Big thanks to Liam for excellent customer service. You made my stay feel like home away from home which is exactly what I look for in a hotel stay! Every hotel needs a Liam!

quite dissapointed to be honest. resteraunt was virtually empty but some of the tables still had glass rings & bits of food on them so clearly not been cleaned. it took 90 mins from me sitting down to finishing my pudding. I don't get why it took so long. It's not like it was busy.

Having enjoyed stays at Village Leeds and Portsmouth, I was looking forward to a stay at the Walsall branch. 1st room was like a dust storm, it was everywhere. 2nd room was nice, but the guy next door was being entertained by a " lady of the night" and the noise was awful, so another room later we ended up across from a gang of lads sniffing hippy crack, and shouting at each other at 3.35am. Not the hotels fault, but the build quality is not good, a door closed 10 rooms away is heard along the whole corridor.
The bar was so cold we wore coats, until about 9pm but the food was good and the staff were amazing and very helpful.
Breakfast was nice, ( not very hot though), and well served in a covid friendly way.
The pool looked great, but after just a few hours sleep I didn't go in.
The cost was incredible really,but I can recommend this chain, but not this hotel.

My stay so far is good. My only bad review will be regarding pub and grill. I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service provided by your staff members on the 3rd October approximately 5.45pm. We checked in on the 1st October and only checking out on the 12th October. We went for a meal on the 1st October and half way through our meal we decided to go for a smoke, just before we ordered set of drinks and told the staff member not to remove the basket of chicken wings. Unfortunately when we return to our table the whole order had been cleared except the drink. We choose not to raise an issue at that point in time. However after the experience we received on the 3rd October, where we came in for a meal and after few minutes we decided 2nd round of drinks. We tried getting the attention of the servers for over 10 minutes at which point I decided to get up and approach them at the bar. I must stress the we’re 3 servers with only 6 tables occupied. I told one of the servers my disappointment, instead of apologising and being attentive to my needs, she abruptly and rudely admonished me and telling me to sit down and she will see to me shortly. Instead of listening to what I had to say she rudely kept on interrupting me and at no sense of customer relations or service. I understand this is a time of covid 19 precaution. I am dumbfounded as to what training is provided where the servers can lean onto tables, not practicing social distancing and how they can serve plates and drinks with the lack of use of gloves especially when there is no clear evidence of them hands sanitizing regularly. The experience we received on 3rd has made us feel totally unwelcome in the pub and grill and we abhor the thought of ever visiting that restaurant though we are staying here for next 9 days

Tv - poor choice of channels
Parking - cheeky to charge when only the hotel sits on the land and the hotel right next door had free parking
Self check-in - didn't feel welcoming. Can't beat a personal touch

We stopped here to visit family and friends in Walsall on our way to Weymouth the booking was originally for April this year but due to the COVID outbreak the trip was cancelled and rescheduled for October the Hotel is easy to get to travelling from Scotland off junction 10 on the M6 brilliant my wife is disabled and there was easy access for a disabled bay and ramp to access the Hotel check in was painless and quick all COVID protocols are good the room is excellent facilities are great however a little warm our own fault as we didn’t make use of the Dyson fan till the morning the first evening however I struggled to buy a drink for us and guests as I was told to get the village app on my phone which I struggled to do not being ict literate the service assistant was a bit abrupt and rather unhelpful she also said I could charge drinks to our room which I said was good I was then told to check my room was open” I felt she should have done this as I was the guest and at this point another assistant came and offered to help certainly more helpful I explained all I wanted was a drink for the group and felt I was getting a runaround she apologised and offered a complementary drink for our troubles but unfortunately this was withdrawn and eventually this assistant took my room number and assured me my drink order would be taken soon the original assistant served me I gave my room number and name when the order was served she again asked me for my name and room number again we only stayed for one drink and left the following morning our breakfast was cold I complained and it was replaced very quickly which we enjoyed the waitress this morning was extremely helpful so far so good we are here for one more night so in summing up with the exception of the disappointing service the previous evening we are enjoying our stay and we would come back when visiting Walsall

As my foreign holiday had been cancelled & as a key worker I thought I deserved a treat. While not far from home Village Hotel Walsall looked a good overnight stay from home.
Got to admit I was impressed by the covid secure measures that are in place ie contact less booking in, sanitiser stations where needed, the contact less ordering of food and drink in the bar area.
Well done to all staff while still having to explain the basics of the covid measures to those members of the public who still can't follow simple instructions. I witnessed a few numpties who were dealt with professionally.
Loved this hotel
