Stopped by Bert's Bistro, The Finger post to for lunch. We was served by Sam who
looked after us in a friendly and helpful way. The bar has a smart and relaxed feel.We sat out on the decking overlooking the canal with its beautiful yellow water iris lined banks. The food was well presented and tasted brilliant.
To top it all we had real handmade chips, not pre-frozen rubbish. We were pleased to see they had a little private function room for about 12 people,
as we have some family occasions coming up soon.So 5 stars, and will be back again.

The welcome was warm, the food is value for money and the views of the canal are lovely. If you want a nicely cooked meal served with smiles then here's your place.

Best chips in the black country? I think they might be. Inventive menu combined with top draw service from genuine bar staff. All very reasonably priced. We will be back again very soon.

Impressed with first visit to new look Finger Post. The staff were very friendly, the eers good and some unusual and different items on the menu if you like a change. The food was great. Good evening all round and looking forward to next visit.

Had not been to the pub since it opened as Bert's. Had friends coming over from Shrewsbury and Burton so decided to give it a try as it is near to where I live. Very good food and service. Prices good. 2 x scampi, chips, salad and peas £12.00. Chips heavenly. Would recommend. Will go back to try the monkfish (bit pricier as you would expect) as you do not see this on many menus

We visited Berts Bistro at the Finger Post for Sunday lunch. Great efficient service and the food was just amazing.
Well cooked, good portion sizes and great value.
A choice of small, medium, large or extra large. A choice of Turkey, pork or beef. You could have two meats with the medium roast or three meats with the large or extra large.
The roast potatoes are to die for!!
This is our fourth visit and we will be back again soon.
Keep up the good work!!!

Been there a few times now for lunch and dinner...havent been disappointed yet!. The steaks are great and I would definitely recommend the home made burgers. Shame about the review that stated poor food and poor service. This has DEFINITELY not been my expereince to date. The only thing missing is table service.

Been here a few times now Quality & value for money are being well maintained The Beers especially the Timothy Taylors are kept well so leave the car at home because youll want more than a couple. We went as a Family of ten for mothers day even though the Restaurant was very busy all the staff were helpful and attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. In the summer your able to dine out on the decking with views of the great Wyrley canal and Pelsall nest Common (Roll on the summer) Oh and before I forget There's crocodile and Kangaroo on the Menu If you fancy it.

have been there befor and i have never had any complaints about it and i still have non. the food is always very good of high quality - cooked to order non of this pre cooked pub chain stuff. chips are not frozen from a packet, onoin rings are made from scratch. veg were nice and fresh with my lovely monkfish. my dad had sea bass witch he really liked and the steak my daughter had was cooked how she had wanted it to be. pudding was good my dad had treacle tart and lots and lots of custard. my daughter had carrot cake and it was a huge slice - had the option of cream or ice cream but just wanted cake! The service is good, very freindly. we didnt book a table but went for about 12.30 so it was not to busy but by 1.30 it was busy so booking a table might be a good idea - there is a lovely patio area out side with great views of the canel and fields really nice in the the summer months. will be back soon.
