What a dreary place wouldn't return even though we couldn't fault the food it was overpriced for the environment . Depressing loud music , kids and dogs didn't help the dining experience .

Our first outing with out 10 week old Pug Sammy, staff immediately got us a bowl of water and made a fuss of him. All staff are lovely and friendly (I think that's a Brownhills/Pelsall thing!) but as an added bonus the food was amazing and plentiful. Great value. Can't wait for the Summer when we can sit out next to the canal.

Nice to get away from Chain Pubs and find home cooked food cooked to order, we had
to wait for a while for it to arrive, but when it did we were satisfied with our wait.the food was good, plenty of it, and well presented. We can imagine that if it was a full
pub, the waiting time would be longer, so have this in mind if your looking for a quickermeal. The prices were good and very satisfactory.

This place is well worth a visit if you like a lovely pub with great views(and let's face it who doesn't ) over looking a canal with ducks and fish in and well worth a walk. The food was amazing I had the chicken burger and it ticked every box for taste, size, texture just wonderful great food cooked well. Very clean and tidy wonderful staff made you feel welcome and relaxed the barmaid was ever so friendly and we had a laugh and joke with her which made u feel more comfortable. Also the outside seating is really nice and great for catching up with friends. Really enjoyed our visit.😁

We booked in advance a couple of hours before we arrived. When we got there the table wasn't laid, but didn't take the staff long to do it for us.
We were a party of 5 adults and 3 children.
It was a small restaurant but in a lovely location next to the canal. We ordered starters and a variety of different lunches. The starter arrived piping hot and delicious. but the main course followed before we had time to finish the starter., we felt a little rushed. The food was lovely though. Large portions and value for money. The staff were pleasant and very friendly. Quite an enjoyable time.

Another pub with only 1 real ale, despite there being 4 hand pumps. Ale was average, had better of the same type the same day at another pub. Young lady on duty at the bar was friendly & helpful. Pub was quiet. Surprised the rugby wasn’t showing despite their being TV’s in the pub.

Visited on a Saturday evening as a family of 3. Have held off visiting due to negative reviews both on Tripadvisor and local Facebook pages. Let’s just say we’ll be back! If you’re expecting high end ‘different’ food you’ll be disappointed. What they do is ‘pub grub’ cooked, presented and served very well. We had three totally different meals and all were enjoyed. Service from the young gentleman behind the bar was exceptional. Would happily take friends and family here
