Hunting for flats in big cities is always tiring, and too many letting agents out there care very little about service or the general experience of prospective tenants. The reviews for most letting agents in Birmingham and other big cities rarely exceed an average of 3 stars for a reason...
Barrows & Forrester really are a ray of sunshine in a sector where tenants usually face stress and uncertainty until the moment the contract is finally signed. They are super responsive, well-organised, friendly and forthcoming in their communications. Our agent Sophia was incredibly professional and patient, the whole experience really couldn't have been any smoother! Since we moved in a week ago, the team at B&F (particularly Sophia and Caitlin) has been always approachable and proactive in dealing with any queries.
There clearly is a reason why they are the highest-rated agent in Birmingham (at least as far as I can tell). We would recommend them to anyone looking to rent in Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Having dealt with a number of estate agents and lettings services in Birmingham, I can hands down say Barrows & Forrester provide not only the best, but also the most efficient service. While finding it difficult moving from Nottingham to Birmingham and finding places that satisfied my personal idea of a flat, I managed to find Barrows & Forester. They helped in finding a place that suited my taste and also helped with extra things I required. They communicate very very well, I have dealt with many agencies but none can top the response times from Barrows & Forrester (Especially their agent Chris who has been wonderful so far). It has only been a week since I've moved to my new place but I can certainly say that the only letting agents I would recommend to family, friends, and even to strangers would be Barrows & Forrester.

Our experience with barrows and forrester Jewellery quarter Birmingham was excellent from the start in renting our lovely property in Birmingham. We want to say a big thank you to lettings manager Hamad who was very helpful and professional in helping us view and assisting our move in. We had a couple of teething maintenance issues with the property (not the agencies fault) as you would any let property but these were remedied promptly and quickly with no hassle by Hamad and also Stacey who kept us in the loop with all the maintenance enquiries and correspondence. We were very impressed with the level of service and honesty. Me and my family are very comfortable and happy to have chosen the agency for us. Highly recommended for professionalism and integrity. My experience with Barrows and Forrester's was very positive. I’ve recently moved into a 2 Bedroom apartment in Central Birmingham and the Lettings team made the whole process smooth.
Jaime in particular was very responsive. She handled my telephone and email enquiries promptly. I had a few contract amendments that needed changing and it was dealt with quickly. The pre-tenancy checklist was thorough and pictures were clear.
I had the keys to the apartments on Saturday. Jaime went out of her way to stay back after office hours whilst I came to collect the keys. She went above and beyond and and her customer service skills are fantastic.

I had a VERY bad experience with (what I thought) was a reputable and well established Letting Agents which caused myself and family a great deal of stress having fell fowl of BAD tenants which were apparently "vetted" by the previous agents.
I was quite anxious about letting the property again!
I was recommended Barrows & Forrester and from the start they were keen to ensure I was content and confident in the service I received.
To date I receive regular updates and would not consider going elsewhere for a letting's service - or indeed with the sale of any property.

Barrows and Forrester were clear and straightforward when letting me know the process for selling my house. I dealt with both James and Robyn and they were both attentive to my needs and answered any queries I had throughout the process promptly and with knowledge. My house sold within a couple of weeks and I could not fault the service I received throughout. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

Following a move from abroad, I was having a difficult time finding a rental in Birmingham. Hamad was by far the most responsive and engaged agent I dealt with and got me into a perfect flat on my first visit! There were several other administrative technicalities of letting a flat locally that I was not aware of, and Hamad was very supportive in guiding me through the process/making everything as smooth as possible.
