Three generations of the Poxon family have run the business which was originally set up by Arthur and his wife.
Chris and Nick Poxon are the current owners of the business with Jim and Gordon (2nd generation) still on hand to assist and offer advice. The shop is run by Roy who has been working for the business for over 50 years and he is ably assisted by Colin & Rose.
A E Poxon & Sons has been built on offering the best top quality meat from local farms with friendly and helpful staff serving their customers. People travel from as far away as Devon and come from all over the Midlands to purchase their meat and meat products.
Over 200 varieties of meat and meat products are available in the shop including all cuts of lamb, pork, chicken and beef together with a number of homemade produce including -

- Black pudding
- Faggots
- Polony
Their beef including sirloin, t bone, fillet and rump steaks and all other cuts are from Shire Meadows Beef which guarantees it is prime quality, a superb flavour and produced by trusted farms.
