The Museum offers facilities for a wide range of uses including conferences, meetings, seminars and social functions and is available for both daytime and evening events, all tailored to meet your requirements. Our conference team are on hand to ensure your event runs smoothly and presents a professional operation for your business.
Whilst enjoying the conference facilities at the Museum, take advantage of the mine's facilities and take the underground tour (approximately 1hr), guided by an ex-miner you'll find out what a hard days work really was.
The conference facilities in Wakefield consist of the Caphouse Suite, a conference facility of nearly 18m in length x over 16.5m in width. The room can be used to accommodate
- 200 delegates theatre style,
- 145 banqueting,
- 80 classroom or
- 70 board style
alternatively the room can be divided in to 3 separate rooms, Denby Grange, Hope and Prince of Wales. Each of these rooms can be utilised to accommodate
- 50 delegates theatre style
- 24 classroom or
- 30 boardroom
