On Thursday 29th October, from 11am–12pm, Care UK’s Weald Heights, on Bourchier Close, will be opening its doors to those who have been personally affected by stroke, care for someone who has, or simply want to learn more.
Onthe day, guests will have the opportunity to come together in a relaxed and friendly environment to share stories, seek advice, learn about prevention and the support available to anyone affected.
The event will be held in the home’s café, where visitors can sip tea or coffee and chat over a slice of homemade cake. The friendly team will also be on hand to support the group, share information, resources, and offer a listening ear.
Maria Covington, Home Manager at Weald Heights, said: “We always strive to have a positive impact on our community, and we believe that no one should feel alone after a stroke.
“Whether you have been affected by a stroke yourself or are caring for someone who has, building support systems is extremely important. We are committed to ensuring local people understand the help and expertise available to them this World Stroke Day, where everyone can relax and share information.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming new and familiar faces to our event while enjoying a chat over tea and cake.”
