Care UK’s Kippingtons, on Grange Road, is inviting people to cheer on their nation ahead of a huge summer of sport by joining residents and team members for a football-themed barbecue on Tuesday 16th June, from 12:30pm- 2:30pm.
On the day visitors are invited to take part in a host of football-inspired activities, including crafts, colouring and a light-hearted kicking competition, where residents will compete to see who can kick a football the furthest.
They will also be treated to a homemade barbecue, specially prepared by the home’s chef.
One resident when asked about the event said ‘’I can’t wait for the BBQ, it brings back memories of when I was a child.”
The event is part of Care UK’s ‘Goal-den Moments' initiative, which aims to bring generations together and help residents reminisce about cherished football memories with the local community.
Kathryn Paterson, Home Manager at Kippingtons, said: “As football fever sweeps the country, we can’t wait to welcome the community for some matchday magic.
“This special event allows us to honour residents’ lifelong passion for the sport. For many, football goes beyond the roar of the terraces – it represents a lifetime of treasured memories and traditions.
“It’s also a wonderful opportunity to bring the people of Sevenoaks together, enjoy the summer of sport and share their favourite football stories.”
