From January, the hugely successful Thurrock taxi firm is offering clients the ability to save their favourite journeys online – which will be a god send to those who rely on taxi hire for the regular trip to work or the station. Clients will also be able to keep track of their vehicle online and find out exactly where it is in relation to their property and receive texts to let them know when it is due to arrive. In addition, it will also enable environmentally-conscious customers to keep an eye on their CO2 emissions through recording their taxi travel, recognising the impact car travel has on the environment and the desire by many to reduce their carbon footprint.
The advanced web system is a step further from their current facility, which was widely regarded as one of the most innovative in the industry. KnightOwl Taxis was one of the first taxi and private high companies to enable customers to make a booking – and pay for their fare – online.
Managing director Paul Gooch said: “The new system will take our advanced booking facility to the next level. For a relatively new taxi firm we are very innovative and our entire philosophy is built on excellent customer service.

Whether it’s for business or pleasure, we spend most of our time communicating or shopping online and find it easier and more efficient to order what we need over the internet.
