Always on the look out for something interesting to do in the evenings, I stumbled upon just the thing whilst on my journeys through Thurrock last week.
Having recently finished my jewellery-making course & having given up on the sailing one (too cold!) when I popped in to see Helen Lowe at Craftily Creative in Stanford-le-Hope I stumbled across my next venture.......
..........SCRAP-BOOKING!
Now I admit I thought this was something that I would take up in 20 years or so - me & the girls from the senior citizen brigade but after I had seen Helen's collection of scrap-booking I have eaten my words. It's simply delightful.
I hadn't thought about the different ways in which I could put togther a collection of pictures with simple & decorative additions such as buttons, ribbon, card, even sand & stones from the beach!
It's easy to do - igniting your creative flair as you go & the results are super. It can be pretty, funky, modern, traditional, big, small, put on the wall, given as a gift - you name it, the options are endless & what's best? It's unique!

That's it, a new hobby has been found. I'm getting some bits & bobs together this weekend & then I'm heading back to Helen to get some tips. Maybe I'll even join one of her classes.....
