Do I really Need An Estate Agent?

'An estate agent is a person or business that arranges the selling, renting or management of properties'

So, yes, you probably do! But love them or loathe them, nearly everyone will need an estate agent sooner or later, either when you want to sell your own home or have decided move on.

Often, much of this antipathy comes from lack of understanding as to what an estate agent does, that the client thinks they couldn't do for themselves A good agent will know the area, and be able to take local factors into account when calculating the price that will bring the best outcome for their client. Are there any new roads, or a new school about to be built? There might even be a planning application for building a superstore nearby! Wouldn't you like to know that?

And marketing is everything. Either selling or buying, an estate agent's skills will showcase your home to it's best advantage.

Most importantly maybe, is that they will also act as a buffer between the seller and the buyer, especially necessary if things start to go wrong. That's when you'll want someone on your side who really knows how to make it right.
