Crossroads Care (Isle of Man) was a charity established in 1988 to help improve the lives of carers on the Isle of Man. Crossroads promotes, offers support and delivers high quality services for carers and people with care needs.
Crossroads are there for the carer. Anyone can become a carer at any time and looking after someone with a disability, serious illness, substance abuse or mental health issue can often be very stressful. It can happen in seconds or over a period of time and the impact on peoples lives can be devastating.
Every year, the Crossroads Care charity on the Isle of Man provide tens of thousands of hours of respite care to our Island's carers by providing a diverse range of services to all ages and abilities regardless of care need.
THE WORK THEY DO:
Improve the lives of carers.
Help carers to enjoy a sustained respite break.
Offer and support employment opportunities on the Isle of Man for people with additional and complex needs.
Enable carers to progress their own lives by taking on some of their caring responsibilities.
Provide a reliable service tailored to meet individual needs.
Strengthen support from Government and other organisations.
