Cherrypickdating Foodies Dining Club

How it will work

To start with; the Gloucestershire Echo are doing a feature on the Foodie Dining Club – they are very excited about it which is fantastic PR for us. Not sure when it is going out but I will let you know.

To become a member of the cherrypickdating.com Foodies Dining Club you have to pay an annual subscription fee of £160.00. This will give you access to the events calendar on the website where you will be able to browse the Foodie Club Events and other events that will be open to non-members. Each event will have information about the venue and how to get there and a link directly to the venues own website where you will be able to browse their menus in most cases.

To book an event just click on “book now” which will take you to a payment page.  All the venues will require a deposit of some kind to secure the booking, obviously we don’t know how much you will personally spend on each meal but the deposit will secure your place. The deposit will only be refunded up to a week before the event which should give us enough time to find someone else to attend in your place. You can then deduct the deposit from your bill at the end of the meal. The last thing we want to do is upset these restaurants by booking tables that we can’t fill with our members. Some of these restaurants have a waiting list to book a table so you can see it would not do our reputation any good either.

By booking and paying a deposit I will have some idea of how popular the venue is and how many places I will need to reserve as far in advance as possible. The minimum will be 5 people if we can’t get 5 people to book we will have to cancel and your deposit will then be used for the next event.

We want to take the Foodie Club quite seriously but we also want you to have lots of fun too so at the end of the meal we will ask you to fill in a “review form” and your thoughts/findings will be posted on the cherrypickdating website. The Foodie Club is going to offer single people that are passionate about their food a way to meet up regularly, in a safe, relaxed way and enjoy an exciting dining experience. You never know you may be sitting across the table from your future partner!!!

For venues further afield; we may hire a mini bus – obviously there will be an extra charge but it will mean that you may be able to enjoy a drink and not have to worry about driving home.

If you become a Gold Member of cherrypickdating.com the membership to the Foodie Dining Club is free. Gold membership is £65.00 for three months and gives you full access to the site and you will be able to participate in all the activities on the events calendar. You also get a free professional profile photograph taken for you to put on your profile.

One of the unique features of the website will also come into play; when someone you have put in your “favourites box” books an event; you will be sent an email telling you that person is going to the next event. So you will know who will be attending Foodie Dining Club events and if you play your cards right I will sit you next to them. To be a full member you must agree to show photographic ID and a utility bill to a member of the cherrypick team and you must also be prepared to put a recent photo of yourself on your profile.     

If you only want to join the Foodie Dining Club then this is what you should do.

Go to the website www.cherrypickdating.com you must register on the site first which is free.

When you have received and sent back your “confirmation of registration” email back to me; you will get an automated email saying welcome to cherrypickdating.com. We need to keep the Foodie Dining Club exclusive and free from predators which is why we ask you to register on the site first so you can get exclusive access to the event calendar; if we printed the events and dates in the local press we may get “gate crashers” who have not joined properly and just turn up.

Then login again using your user name and password. On the left hand side of the page there is a menu bar; toward the bottom of the bar you will see “upgrade membership” click on this which will take you to the membership options page. Click on “Dining Club”. This will then take you to a payment page follow the instructions. Very simple really. You will then be able to browse the events calendar and book all the event you want to. It may not happen instantly, depends on how long it takes for the payment to be processed.
