Visitors to Tewkesbury Medieval Festival

Please note that although entry to the event itself is free, there is a small fee for parking

 

ORDER OF EVENTS

(As detailed in the official flyer)

 

Saturday July 10th

11am - the festival opens.

12 - noon archery competition.

Entertainment throughout the day.

4pm - Battle re-enactment.

6pm - fair site closes and events move into town.

7pm - re-enactment of the storming of the Abbey.

7.30pm - trial and beheading of captured Lancastrians.

8pm - Compline, the evening service as it would have been heard by the monks at the Abbey.

 

Sunday July 11th

9:15am - Service led by the Vicar of Tewkesbury Abbey on the Bloody Meadow.

11am - Festival site opens.

11.30pm - guided walk around the battle field.

12 noon - archery competition.

Entertainment throughout the day.

3pm - battle re-enactment.

5pm - Festival ends.

 

Aside from the timed events, there are a wealth of stalls & activities to see & do. 

Once the battle dust has settled, why not relax and have a lovely cool drink or a bite to eat overlooking Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire and beyond at the Tewkesbury Park Hotel?

Alternatively have a stunning meal at one of Tewkesbury's MOST loved Restaurants, My Great Grandfather's?
