Team Tewkesbury Pedal to Paris
1st September 2010
... Comments

Below is the timeline for Peter Godwin's Mammoth cycle ride from Tewkesbury to Paris.

Peter is cycling 427 miles from Tewkesbury to Paris. Meeting up with colleagues in London on the way, all of whom are raising funds for the Royal British Legion. Peter has been supported along the way by various friends, colleagues and Legion supporters. We at thebestof Tewkesbury have helped Peter raised considerable funds too, by giving sponsorship at a Business Networking evening and our Buy Local Fair at the Town Hall on August 21st. We wish Peter every success with achieving his monetary goal, (we know he will reach Paris easily) and even plan to meet him in France on Saturday.

Midday approx    Arrive in Wootton Bassett, met by Wootton Bassett and Tewkesbury Town Mayors and Legion members from Tewkesbury.  I will lay a wreath on behalf of Tewkesbury at the Wootton Bassett war memorial.
On completion of the wreath laying ceremony, I will cycle on to Hungerford and stay overnight with family.      BBCRG are talking to their counterparts in BBC Wiltshire to see if they wish to cover the story.  The background being that I grew up in the area and attended Wootton Bassett School, my mother lives in the town and will be at the memorial with other members of my family on the day.
