Promote your business in Tewkesbury... apply for a grant

A Council scheme aimed at helping to promote small businesses in the Borough has been given a boost by receiving additional funding from
Corus subsidiary UK Steel Enterprise (UKSE).

(UKSE) has given Tewkesbury Borough Council's Small Grant Scheme extra funding to put towards the scheme, which will mean even more businesses can apply for support.

Tewkesbury Borough Council introduced the scheme to support businesses with marketing and promotion - two areas that have been revealed as being important in the current economic climate.

Businesses can apply for up to £500 and the grants can be used for websites, business cards, signage, advertising and much more.  The grant is paid through match - funding. Tewkesbury Borough Council will pay successful applicants 75% of their costs to a total of £500.

Lead Member for Economic Development and Promotion Cllr Phil Taylor added: "It's great that UKSE have come onboard this excellent scheme.

"I think it's vital that businesses keep up with marketing and promotion to make sure they are seen to be at the top their league"

Initially, Tewkesbury Borough Council was able offer this scheme because of the extra income received from the reduction in VAT, as well as other savings made by the Council."

Small businesses are being encouraged to contact the Council and apply. It's easy.

At thebestof Tewkesbury we can vouch for that.

Having applied, we were notified promptly that we had been successful and were able to fund our work wear from Spectrum Embroidery and start up stationery through the scheme.

Spectrum will also provide the Tewkesbury Logo embroidered FREE on all your work wear, subject to a minimum spend. Click here to see their offer.

You could purchase branded stickers from Netstickers by following his link.

Alternatively get your van sign written by Stuart Dyer. He is also doing a great promotion with the new Tewkesbury Logo.

Of course, you could also receive 12 months marketing with thebestof Tewkesbury - (what a deal!).

We recommend that all businesses applying to join the bestof Tewkesbury submit an application.

3 businesses who have joined us have already been successful, receiving nearly a year's promotion and marketing for very little cost.

What better way to get recognised as one of Tewkesbury's Best Businesses?!

Interested in how to apply? Call or email us. We'll be happy to help and can email you an application form!

The scheme is still open for new applicants, so those who have not already applied can still contact the Borough Council.

To be able to apply for a grant the business must have ten employees or less and be located within Tewkesbury paying local business rates, or relocating into the Borough.
