Thousands of enthusiasts from all over Europe will be travelling to Tewkesbury for the annual Medieval Festival, on July 7 & 8. Around 2000 of them will be taking part in a re-enactment, on part of the site of the original battle of Tewkesbury of 1471.

Microlight pilots are taking to the skies this summer to raise money for The Old Spot Trust, to benefit local charities & good causes. Every Wednesday members of the Severn Valley Microlight group will be touching down in each other’s fields.
The Old Spot Trust is a county-based fund-raising organization that seeks to support groups who help the county’s people, animals, wildlife or environment, inviting local charities, community groups & non profit making organisations to apply for grants.

GUIDES are chipping in to help run Tewkesbury Abbey refectory when it reopens on Monday (April 19). Teams will raise money for their organisations by keeping most of the profits and giving the Abbey a small cut plus a hire charge.
TEWKESBURY Abbey is launching a parish magazine to let supporters know what’s happening and to reach out to people in the town. Staff, clergy and volunteers have put together the first 36-page issue and aim to publish it on March 12
VOLUNTEERS are to reopen Tewkesbury Abbey Refectory under a pioneering scheme thought to be only the second in the country. Teams from the Abbey will run the cafe one or two days a week and hand over to charities on other days.
