Club details

Established in 1881 Tewkesbury RFC is a Rugby Union Club from the historical market town of Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire.

We are proud to support three senior mens teams, a ladies team and an enthusiastic group of junior and mini/midi teams.

Tewkesbury Rugby Club is the largest sports club within the town, having over 650 members. The club provides qualified coaching to children from the age of 6 to adult men and women.

Last season the club gained promotion to the Gloucestershire Premier league, reaching the Quarterfinal of the EDF Vase National competition and winning an international veterans rugby tournament in France. This season we have employed the services of a professional Rugby Coach and set ourselves the target of establishing ourselves in Gloucestershire Premiership and expanding our junior section.

The club is a not for profit organisation with all of its income going into its facilities and coaching, It works in partnership with all of the local schools providing after school coaching courses.

Tewkesbury Rugby Football Club supports local businesses by making its facilities available during the day for training courses, seminars and other functions at very competitive prices. It has a very comfortable club room with over head projection and free Wi-Fi and parking for over 150 cars.

Refreshments can also be arranged if required.

The club house is fully licensed with a bar that sells various types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, which is open to all club members. Sky television is available, showing all the major sports games and regular programmes as well.

It is also possible to hire the club for private functions. We have no problem with a marquee being hired as an extension to the club for weddings or large parties, though our function room is a good size.
