The Buckatree Hall Hotel, at the foot of the Wrekin in Telford, has launched the digital app using the latest technology, available on Apple, Blackberry and Android devices.

Wayne Jenson, General Manager at the family-owned hotel, said: “The app is a great way for our customers to find out what they need to know without even leaving their rooms.

“Everyone these days has a smartphone or tablet so this app allows our customers to explore how much we have to offer.

“It is also great for potential customers who may be browsing hotels, they can find out everything they need to about us or book to stay here in the simplest way.”

As well as a description about the history of the hotel, the new app has details about rooms, the Lakeside Restaurant, the Lander Bar and Lounge, the newly installed gym and upcoming special events.

It also gives potential customers the opportunity to book online, redeem exclusive app only offers, collect digital reward points on the loyalty card launched last month, get directions to the hotel or contact them.

The app also provides links to The Buckatree’s Facebook and Twitter accounts and an online picture gallery.

Mr Jenson added: “We have tried to design the app so it is as easy to use as possible.

“We want all our guests to take advantage of this.

“Many customers may not have known that we now have a gym, but by installing the app it gives all the information they need.”

The app is the latest investment for the hotel, which launched a loyalty card and voucher system through the Bank of Buckatree last month.

The 62-bedroom hotel is owned by Grant Moon and has undergone a £1million refurbishment since he bought it from the Matrix Group in 2010.

As well as the gym, a new function room has been built and the bar, restaurant, banqueting suite and bedrooms have been refurbished.
Mr Jenson added: “We are really pleased that we can now offer this app, along with all the other improvements that are constantly being made here.

“We hope it shows how dedicated we are to always making our customer experience as good and smooth as it can be and investing in the latest technology to offer the best we can.

“We may be a landmark hotel surrounded by the history of The Wrekin, but we have fully embraced all the opportunities on offer in the 21st century and will continue to do so.”
The hotel has an 80-cover restaurant, a 50-cover bar and a 200-capacity function room for weddings, awards ceremonies and events.

The latest function room, the Hesba Stretton room, has been specially built for business meetings, networking events and private dining.
