The Revive fitness suite at The Holiday Inn has been completely refurbished with a £100,000 makeover, and now is the first gym in the area to offer some of the very latest hi-tech equipment. Jo Burton, Revive Leisure Manager: “We have carried out extensive research to ensure we found the very best equipment for our members, and everyone who has seen the new machines so far has been hugely impressed.
“The size of our investment reflects our commitment to delivering the very highest levels of service to our club members and our hotel guests, and this refit project is part of our ongoing programme of improvements at the hotel.”
The fitness suite now offers Matrix Fitness CV equipment which is designed to create a multi-sensory experience, with touch-screen displays, and iPod and Nike+ compatibility.
“Thanks to the new machines, gym users can view cinema quality video and select their dream running location with destinations including the Grand Canyon and Hawaii. They will also be able to feel terrain changes underfoot and hear scene-setting sounds through their headphones.
“And it’s not just video footage playing, the incline on the treadmill will adjust to match the terrain on screen, and the video speed is interactive too, so when a client speeds up or slows down their workout pace, the video playback rate changes to match their speed too.
“We really have been very impressed with the capabilities of this equipment, and we’re looking forward to more members joining our club and trying out this whole new fitness experience for themselves.”
As well as the interactive workout machines, the gym also has new strength equipment which uses the latest industry developments to make it more comfortable, effective, and easier to operate.
