A new employment law specialist has joined a Shropshire law firm as the team expands to meet the growing demand from businesses across the region.
Fabienne McAllister has joined the employment team in Lanyon Bowdler Solicitors' Telford office, and brings a wealth of experience to the role.
Fabienne is bilingual in French and English, having trained and worked in London and Paris for leading international law firm, Ashurst, where she qualified as a solicitor in 2002.
She has experience in commercial litigation, having worked in the litigation team for Lee Crowder and then Cobbetts in Birmingham for five years, before moving to Cobbetts’ employment team in 2008. Since 2013, Fabienne has been practising employment law for Emms Gilmore Liberson in Birmingham.
Fabienne specialises in all aspects of employment law and will be acting for a number of French and French-speaking clients as well as British organisations at Lanyon Bowdler.
She said: “I grew up in Shropshire and moved back here six years ago with my family, so I am delighted to be working for such a well-established law firm in the county.
“There are a wide variety of firms based in Shropshire, many of which have international connections, so I am looking forward to using my experience to assist our clients with any employment law issues they may have.”
John Merry, head of the employment team at Lanyon Bowdler, said Fabienne was already proving to be a real asset to the firm and its clients.
He said: “Demand has grown significantly throughout the past year and we are delighted to have appointed Fabienne, whose experience will be hugely beneficial to our clients.
“Having a lawyer with experience of working in France, and of course being a fluent French speaker, will be invaluable for many of our clients with international workforces.”
