Rock on the Meds not certain yet

Stamford's annual music event, the Riverside Festival, still needs £10,000 in order to run the event as planned. They've halved their deficit so far, but the extra funds are needed to make sure that the spirally organisational costs can be met and the free festival can go ahead without scaling down.

the organisers are asking for sponsors and donations and helpers in order to get the show on the road.

Rising costs throughout the country have caused the funding deficit, and the organisers have had to pay for extra policing to stop visitors from bringing alcohol onto the site.

The festival is planned for Saturday July 5th, on The Meadows in Stamford, and more volunteers to help out on the day are still needed. The organisers have a relatively small team, and really needall the hands they can get. If you can only spare a couple of hours to help keep your festival going, then it would be a great help. Many hands make light work!

In spite of everything over 200 bands and performers have applied to appear in the 20 available slots.

If you can spare some time or money to help, then please ring 01778 343337, or e-mail jennycollins10@aol.com.
