It's that time of the year again when we all make new year's resolutions, determined to keep to them and get good results.

The top ten new year's resolutions seem to be:

  1. Spend more time with family and friends - there are lots of ways to do this, one of them is to socialise at pubs and restaurants, and you can find plenty of those in the Best of Stamford night out guide.
  2. Get fit - with Curves (for women only) and Westside health clubs just waiting for you, what more motivation do you need?
  3. Lose weight - once again, the good people at Curves (for women) and Westside can help
  4. Give up smoking - these days there's lots of help available from the health service
  5. Enjoy life more -  why not try a spa visit at Equilibrium for instance, or  a trip to the theatre
  6. Drink less - and with many of our pubs offering a range of soft drinks and tasty food there's no need to give up the social side.
  7. Organise finances - a good accountant can help you with advice to get your accounts in order
  8. Learn something new - Stamford Arts Centre has a range of courses to suit all tastes
  9. Help others - there are many non profit organisations that you can help. Why not try Oxfam or British Heart Foundation.
  10. Be more organised - this one's up to you! Search the web for ideas to help.
