Originally a Bird of prey hosptial set up in the early 80s, Gentlshaw wildlife centre expanded in 1993 to include a rescue sanctuary for rescued exotic animals and captive bred birds of prey .
 
Mission

TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING OF BIRDS OF PREY AND OTHER WILDLIFE WHO ARE IN NEED OF CARE AND ATTENTION AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC CONCERNING ANIMAL CONSERVATION AND BIRDS OF PREY GENERALLY.TO CARE AND PROVIDE HOMES FOR RESCUED EXOTIC ANIMALS.
 
Description

A small rescure centre for unwanted or mistreated exotic animals,birds of prey and reptiles. Also on site is a bird of prey hosptial, used to treat injured wild birds of prey. These casulties are not on display and are with us for rehabilitation until they are fit. The wild birds of prey are then returned to the wild. The sanctuary is open to the public where you can visit our captive bred, permanent residents, including Lynx, Raccoons, Owls, Hawks, Snakes, Lizards and more.
General information
The centre is situated at 'Fletchers Garden Centre' - Eccleshall, just 10 minutes from Junction 14 of the M6. Simply follow the signs for Eccleshall, then Stone,
(turn right at both mini-roundabouts in Eccleshall if coming from the direction of the M6)

Open 10:30-4:30 seven days per week during school holidays (closed Tuesdays during term time)
