St Neots Players - Auditions for Oliver Twist.
A major new stage production of "Oliver Twist" is coming to St Neots and Sawtry this Christmas and we are currently on the look out for local talent to be in the cast!
Do you fancy yourself as the feisty Nancy? the innocent Oliver? the cunning Fagin? or the evil Bill Sikes? Then this show could be for you ! You've seen how they do it on TV now you can have a go!!
This is the second major Charles Dickens classic to be performed in the region after the huge success of A Christmas Carol in 2008 which attracted over a thousand people back to the theatre, two of it's cast members also went on to study acting at the world famous RADA and it was later published by Authors Online as a full stage play in it's own right and is still being performed all over the UK.
The show's director and writer, local former BBC TV Director Brendan Sheppard is launching the show backed by the prestigious St Neots Players. He says "This is a unique opportunity for someone out there to take on these iconic and colourful characters in a major new production to be staged at Christmas, it's a great time for theatre right now and I'm hoping lots of people will audition at the end of this month there has never been a better time to get involved and I'm really excited to be directing this follow up to my first show which was a run away success. So come along and audition, you never know it could be you!"
