St Neots Leisure Centre Development March Update
12th March 2010

Dear All,

I am pleased to inform you that phase 1 of the redevelopment works are due to open on Thursday April 1st 2010.

This phase includes Leo’s Funzone, Caffè Zest and new changing rooms that will ultimately serve the outside pitches, but in the interim will be used for Centre customers whilst the new changing rooms are developed. Below is a copy of the press release sent out this week:

“Leo’s Funzone at Huntingdon has been so popular there is a second Leo’s Funzone opening at One Leisure St Neots on Thursday 1st April 2010.

The play and party attraction in Huntingdon attracts over 25,000 children each year and with many children coming from the St Neots area there was high demand for a second venue in the district.

Leo’s Funzone indoor adventure play centres are specially designed to provide babies, toddlers and children the ideal place to exercise and have fun through play.  There are multi levels packed with climbing walls, slides, spinning panels, swings, wobble floors, ball pools, interactive games and much more.

In addition to the play centre there will be the launch of Caffè Zest which will provide parents the ideal place to relax and enjoy quality food and drink whilst watching their children play in a safe environment.

One Leisure St Neots is the new name for St Neots Leisure Centre and Leo’s Funzone is just part of an exciting £2.9 million redevelopment of the centre.

From September 2010 there will also be a brand new state of the art Impressions Fitness Suite, Pure Health & Well-Being offering a spa experience with holistic and beauty therapy treatments, an additional aerobics studio with spinning bikes and new classes plus a purpose built crèche.”

Impressions moved to its temporary home in the Scarlet Suite a couple of weeks ago, and the feedback we have received from 99% of customers has been extremely positive. Unfortunately this has had a knock on effect on some of our other activities including aerobics classes and Sports Hall bookings and we have had many stressful meetings trying to ensure as little disruption as possible.

Phase 2 is due to be completed In September, and we are already heavily involved in planning and marketing of these fantastic new facilities. If you require any more specific information about Impressions, Pure or Fitness Classes, please do not hesitate to ask at reception or e-mail – we will endeavour to give you as much information as we can.

I hope you enjoy the new facilities.

Regards,

Paul France
