UP, UP AND AWAY AT PRIORY PARK PLAYGROUP

SUMMER FAYRE SATURDAY 19th JUNE

Children at Priory Park Playgroup are hoping for strong winds on Saturday afternoon when they plan to mark their annual Summer Fayre with a spectacular balloon release.

The Fayre will take place on Saturday 19 June from 2 until 4 pm at the Playgroup in Almond Road, St Neots.  As well as the usual range of traditional stalls such as tombolas, cakes and a raffle, the children will enjoy face painting, icing biscuits and making keyrings for Fathers Day.  The event will start with a sponsored walk by the under 5s and will end with the balloon release.  All money raised will go towards improvements to the outside area of the pre-school.

Entry to the fayre is free.  Anyone wishing to sponsor a balloon, for just £1.50, should contact the Playgroup (www.priory parkplaygroup.org.uk) or visit Party Jacks at 36 New Street, St Neots.

Emma Silverthorne, Chair of the Playgroup Committee said:

“The children are really excited about watching their balloons rise above Priory Park and we’re all hoping for a blustery day so that they travel a long way.   I’d like to invite everyone to come and join us for a fun-filled afternoon, and to thank Party Jacks for organising the balloon release for us”.

Priory Park Playgroup has provided pre-school learning since 1979 for nearly 100 children, aged 2 to 4 years.  The Playgroup is a charity: it receives Nursery Education Funding for children from the term after their third birthday but is otherwise dependent on grants and donations for funding.

The Playgroup opens for five days a week in term time and children attend for a number of sessions.  They are divided between two rooms – the Rainbow Room and the Sunshine Room – according to age.
