Could you start your own business? Now there’s an idea.

There are lots of things to consider when starting your own business. From day one you are faced with a series of decisions covering various aspects of your business such as accounting, finance, marketing, promotion and many others.

Gaining the necessary confidence or finding the right support to start your own business might be the only thing you need to ask for! Fully funded by Huntingdon District Council and available to all local residents, Outset Huntingdonshire can be the helping hand you need to support you and your business in the start up journey.

Available to all local residents and fully funded by Huntingdonshire District Council, Outset offers a series of three FREE workshops as well as one-to-one coaching to help you develop the right skills, knowledge and confidence to start your own business.

So far, over 370 locals have received support from Outset Huntingdonshire, and 56 of these have now gone on to successfully become their own boss. Some of these new business owners are Martynas and Zivile Juskus, who, with Outset Huntingdonshire’s support, have successfully opened their own shop in St Neots selling tights and leggings.

“My wife Zivile and I always wanted to have our own family business, and when my wife came up with the idea of opening a tights shop, we decided to go for it!”

With Outset Huntingdonshire’s guidance, Martynas and Zivile learned how to take the first steps in promoting their business. In particular, he realised “how important marketing is for your business” and how such a core business skill, which he had neglected before, played an essential role in starting a successful business.
