  • Dear Andrew. Hazel and I would both like to thank you very much indeed for your very great help and kindness to us at the time of the death and funeral of our father. We were very conscious of the dignity and respect accorded to him and to us throughout. Everything went well on the day, and we could not have asked for more. With our warmest thanks to you for helping us through this sad time.” Janet and Hazel, April 2011

  • Dear Andrew. I am writing this on behalf of my family who wish to convey a deep and heart-felt thank-you to you. Your caring professionalism, attention to detail, support and sense of humour, enabled us to deal with the arrangements needed after Dad’s death as easily as possible at such a difficult time. The funeral was beautiful and a fitting celebration to such a special man. We wish you the personal success with your business that you deserve, and would like to say that we are happy for you to use this card as a recommendation for your services, should you wish to.” Janet, Pauline, Peter and Sue, January 2011

  • My grandfather sadly passed away earlier this year. Losing a relative is hard under any circumstances, but when the relative lives abroad there are additional difficulties to deal with. The hospice where my grandfather spent his last few weeks had organised the cremation and a service for us in Mallorca but we still had to arrange to bring his ashes home and to inter them in England. I contacted Andrew Hickson at Kingfisher Independent Funeral Services as I simply did not know where to begin. Andrew offered advice on everything from what paperwork we needed to bring my grandfather’s ashes into the country, to where ashes can be legally scattered and what type of casket is needed to inter them. Andrew was extremely professional throughout the whole process. He was always available to answer questions and offer advice and responded to phone calls and emails quickly. He was kind, caring and empathetic to our emotional needs as well as dealing with the business aspects. In short, Andrew was a huge support to my family during a very difficult time and we are very grateful to him.” Sally Oct 2010
