It’s Roses All The Way for The Waterfront Brasserie - St Neots

Recognised as a leading dining destination across Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire, The Waterfront Brasserie at Wyboston Lakes has added an AA Rosette to its list of accolades, becoming one of only two restaurants in the locality to hold this accreditation.  The Mayor of St Neots, Gordon Thorpe accompanied by his wife Mayoress Peggy Thorpe presented the prestigious award to chef Leigh Morris and restaurant manager Rickie Kitt.

Only 10% of restaurants nationwide are of a standard that is worthy of one rosette and above, so this is a great achievement for The Waterfront Brasserie.  The award recognises restaurants that stand out in their local area for serving food prepared with care, understanding and skill using good quality ingredients.

Olivier Six, Operations Director at Wyboston Lakes commented: “We are delighted with this achievement as very few local restaurants have achieved such recognition.  Earlier this year we launched our 2010 menu and introduced a talented new team led by chef Leigh Morris and restaurant manager Rickie Kitt.  This award is testament to the world-class food and high standards of service which they consistently deliver.  We will continue to build on this success to maintain our highly regarded culinary reputation.”

Presenting the award, the Mayor of St Neots Gordon Thorpe said: “I have watched the development of Wyboston Lakes with interest over many years and congratulate the team on winning this award.  It is evident that much inward investment has taken place to develop the site into a high quality restaurant, hotel, conference and leisure centre with great places to entertain. The development and training of their staff ensures they provide such great customer service.  It is very encouraging to see a business thrive and expand and I congratulate the whole team at Wyboston Lakes but on this occasion, single out Rickie and Leigh for their efforts with The Waterfront Brasserie.”

Menu items change seasonally, balancing traditional techniques with new flavours and using only the freshest and finest local produce.
