Harpers Health & Fitness - Wyboston St Neots host a Charity Event for Ryan's Arm.

Derek and Petra Wilson have partnered up with Harpers Health & Fitness Club at Wyboston Lakes to raise money for a prosthetic arm for their four year old son, Ryan.

Ryan was born with no right arm, but he has not let his disability dampen his spirits or stop him from enjoying his early pre-school life. Ryan will be starting school in September and really needs a functional prosthetic arm to prevent muscle wastage and to enable muscle development of his upper right body. Ryan has been offered a hook or static prosthetic arm by the NHS, these scared Ryan and would not have helped his natural muscle development.

Harpers Health & Fitness Club at Wyboston Lakes and Derek are organising a fitness event, on Saturday 21st July 2012, to help raise money to buy a fully functional prosthetic arm, which would enable Ryan to fully interact and participate with his peers at school.

We are appealing to local businesses in our community to provide competition prizes for participants of the fitness event or sponsor a team member. We’re hoping to have prizes for: the most sponsorship money raised, the most weight lifted, the best effort on the day, and a special prize for the team that has the most fun doing it.

So if you are a local business willing to support to this worthy cause, or if you’re a fitness fanatic and want to help raise some money and have some fun then please contact either Derek Wilson (07581 475 433) or Josh Cooper or myself, Rob Maw, (01480 403233) for more information.

Thank you in advance, we’re confident that with your help we will be able to raise the money required to give Ryan the life he deserves.
